Alola Summer Fun!

And thusly, this years summer would come to an end, not unlike previous summers.

Thought of this when the Japanese Corocoro revealed this new, lovable sand pile of a Pokémon; it's Palossand!

I imagined a few smaller Pokémon playing in the sand with a Palossand, having an Alolan Exeggutor watching over them. This, however, ended up not pleasing me as the image became too uneven, so I started looking for a Pokémon that could act as a counterpart to Exeggutor. As I opened my browser the first thing that caught my eye was a new Alolan Pokémon, revealed in a Japanese trailer on YouTube 3 hours prior; the Alolan Raichu. In my hype I decided that the adorable new Pokémon form would fit perfectly in my image, jumping up to form that arch shape I was looking for.
Tried to choose Pokémon that would sort of come together, colour-wise. Ended up just tinting it all in red anyway. Scraggy is one of my favourite Pokémon, and I really like the design of Shuckle. Psyduck is a classic and Whismur looks like a melting ice-cream.

All in all, good fun! Good, tedious, meticulously refined fun.

I'm extremely excited for the new Pokémon games, and I'll probably put something together as soon as they reveal the alleged snowman Pokémon. Maybe with Delibird and someone else... Piplup? And Mime. Jr.
